I’m a rookie foodie, so don’t expect any hoity toity reviews here. I simply love food, and I love writing about it. I believe food should be enjoyed, and I strive to be as descriptive as possible without sounding arrogant.
This blog is a learning process and a way for me to keep writing and explore my new home of California. I recently moved to the Bay Area from Michigan, where I lived and worked as a newspaper reporter for eight years. I’ve covered several restaurants, bars and wineries during my last three years as a business writer, and I loved it.
What you’ll find here are my culinary adventures at restaurants, bars and other venues in the Silicon Valley area and beyond as I get acclimated to my new surroundings.
I’m hoping to connect with other food bloggers as I become more educated in the preparation of food and how certain ingredients pair or don’t pair well with each other. I’d also like to connect with others who can relate to moving to a new place and the excitement and insecurities that come with starting over.
